This vase is made with real horsehair. The pieces is heated in a kiln then pulled out while hot. The hair is applied to the surface but burns away leaving the black carbon lines where it touched the pot. The orange band is created with ferric chloride. This piece is 4.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide. Please note: Horsehair Pottery is not water safe.
